Националният политехнически музей е единственият музей за България,който повече от 60 години събира, изучава, съхранява и представя развитието на техниката, науката и технологиите, променяли живота на хората през последните два века у нас. В експозицията са показани над 1000 експоната. Само тук, може да се види триколесен Messerschmitt KR 174; Ford модел Aот1928 г; старимотоциклети, мотопеди и възстановка на дървен велосипед; уникална сбирка от миньорски лампи; предмети, показващи технологията за добиване на розово масло; богатата колекция джобни часовници. Експонирани са радиоапарати, телевизионни приемници, звукозаписна техника, телефони, музикални инструменти. Илюстриран е българският принос в развитието на изчислителната техника - първият български микрокомпютър, модел „ИМКО“ - аналог на „Apple II Plus, „ЕЛКА6521“ –четвъртият произведен в света и първият, който включва функцията коренуване и още множество интересни експонати.

В постоянната експозиция е обособен демонстрационен кабинет по физика, който постоянно се развива и обогатява. Музеят предлага образователни програми от областта на физиката, биологията, текстила и музиката.

Since about 60 years the National Polytechnic Museum is the only museum in Bulgaria that collects, studies, preserves and presents the development of techniques, science and technologies that has influenced the life in our country. Over 1000 exhibits are displayed in the permanent exhibition. Only here one can see three-wheel Messerschmitt KR 174; 1928 Ford Model A; old motorcycles; a wooden bicycle; an unique collection of mining lamps; equipment for producing rose oil. Collectors would be interested in our rich collection of pocket clocks. There are also radio and television receivers, sound recorders, phones, musical instruments. The Bulgarian contribution to the development of computing equipment is also presented here – the first Bulgarian microcomputer IMCO – an analogue of "Apple II Plus", calculator ELKA6521 – the fourth one produced in the world and the first that includes the rooting function.

As part of the permanent exhibition there is Physics demonstration cabinet, which is constantly developing and enriching. The museum offers educational programs in the fields of physics, biology, textiles and music.
